To be very clear, I am absolutely bat shit terrified of haunting. I was convinced the house I grew up in was haunted. So I do not go in for scary things at all. It always amazes me when people can tolerate such experiences or seek them out. So in that we have the character Phoebe.
Also she is the ultimate friend for Emmy and vice versa. I think in fiction you have license to make up the most fun combinations.
